Give Our Readers An Overview of the Golf Course/Property
The Mojave Resort Golf Club is considered the premier layout in Laughlin, Nevada, and even the entire Tri-State area. Our 6,939-yard championship course has been honored with 4 stars from Golf Digest, and is conveniently located right next to the Avi Casino on the picturesque banks of the Colorado River. If you're coming from out of town we have Ping clubs available for rental.
Designed by experienced golf architects Lee Schmidt and Brian Curly, the lush Mojave layout is routed through the lowlands of the banks of the Colorado River. Wide fairways, wind-shaped sand dunes, beautiful natural landscaping and a richly green course set against desert mountains, the Mojave Resort Golf Club offers a challenging and rewarding playing experience for all skill levels.
Mojave Resort Golf Club is the ideal getaway for your golf group, charity or corporate event and great stay and play packages are always available.
The extensive practice area consists on a grass range with target flags, putting green and a short game section with sand bunker. Lessons from our PGA professional are available to help you enjoy your game more.
Our snack bar and lounge serves breakfast and lunch items along with all your favorite beverages, with seating indoors or on our outdoor patio that provides nice golf course and mountain views. Our pro shop features a large selection of the very latest fairway fashions, top of the line equipment and all at very competitive prices.
The Avi Casino sits just a good three wood from our clubhouse, there you can stay and dine in style as you enjoy the best casino action in Laughlin, Nevada.
If Someone Was Looking To Golf In The Area, Why Should They Play Your Course?
Unlike other desert courses in the area we are wall to wall grass and the course offers picturesque views on several holes. Wildlife gathers in pounds located on hole #16, #17 & #18.
What Tips or Local Knowledge Would You Provide To Help Them Score Better At Your Course?
Pay close attention to pin location as our undulated greens may leave you with difficult putts. Our front 9 plays a lot tougher than the back. Hole #'s 6-9 can play the toughest on the course so course management on those holes will help your overall score.
What Is The Signature, Most Talked About, or Most Photographed Hole?
Hole #18 is our signature hole, from the gold or black tees a small carry to the fairway is required over water. The fairway is 200 yard deep until your second shot requires another shot over water to a two tiered green. Bailout to the right of the green will give you enough room and opportunity to keep your golf ball from getting wet.
What Is Your Favorite Hole? Any Tips to Play It?
Hole #16 is a drive-able par 4. Playing 326 yards from the tips the green is accessible for the long hitters. You can lay up with a long iron, hybrid or fairway wood which leave you with a short wedge and an opportunity to make a birdie.
Must Have Dish or Drink after the round at the 19th Hole?
Our house made margarita is the perfect drink after your round.
Who Holds Course Record and What Was Their Score?
61, Hayes Dupree, with a 9 under 27 on our back nine.
